Shaye Murray: Meaning to Tell You (Queer Comedy Special & Showcase, Presented by NewFunny)

August 22

August 22 at 7:00PM
Admission: $25.00

A night hosted by the queers of comedy about the comedy of queerness.

The NewFunny Crowd presents a queer comedy showcase, as well as the debut of Shaye Murray’s Meaning to Tell You.

In her debut comedy special, Shaye Murray weaves a tapestry of stories, jokes, and observations from the frayed offcuts of a rural Newfoundland upbringing, a midlife gender transition, and a no-look bellyflop into the waters of queer culture. Aided and abetted by a mischievous spotlight and a chorus of queer community voices, the show is messier and more alive than it has a right to be—unfiltered, unpredictable, and unexpectedly joyous.

With opening acts by:
Katy Warren (Host)
MK Morris
Forrest Sandifer

LGBTQ+ comedy, universal humour – for queers, allies, and anyone who finds meaning in the comedy of chaos. Change ain’t easy…but it is funny.

Mature and immature themes and language.
