RCAT in Collaboration with Centra will be hosting a two-day night of the arts Live Magazine! – a Black History Month celebration of creativity. This immersive two-day event will feature a powerful lineup of Black artists, including a staged reading of theatre plays, live music, spoken word performances, and a thought-provoking panel discussion. Designed to honor, uplift, and showcase Black artistry, this event invites guests to experience the richness of Black storytelling, music, and dialogue. Join us as we celebrate the voices shaping the future of Black theatre and the arts!

Saturday:
Featuring performances by Judith Ifeadi, Joseph Chinaka, Joy Abraham, Justin Poisonous, and Panel Discussion with Kerenhappuch Gandu, Lydia Makaga, Ife Alaba, Nicole Obiodiaka, moderated by Modeline Longjohn.

Sunday:
Featuring readings of original plays by Lydia Makaga and Lisah Nsanzugwanko, a screening of Brian Amadi’s The Art of Being Black, and a staged presentation of an excerpt of Nicole Obiodiaka’s Beauty Beyond The Norms.
