The Best Kind Cabaret Series returns to the LSPU Hall with this deeply classical, truly legitimate night of music.  Before there was belting, screlting, and riffing, there was operetta, musical comedy, and a whole bunch of “legit” musical theatre singing.  For this one night only concert, singers Calvin Powell, Kiersten Noel, Sarah Loveys, Robin Whiffen, and Timothy Matson will transport you back to the classically-influenced roots of musical theatre.  Featuring Golden Age musical theatre writers like Rodgers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, and Lerner and Loewe alongside their contemporary but still oh-so-legit counterparts like Stephen Sondheim, Adam Guettal, and Lucy Simon, this riff-less and belting-not-allowed evening is a tuneful night not to be missed.
