The Neighbourhood Strays are a bellydance troupe located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and have been performing together for 11 years. Their dance style has its roots in Atseguin (Eastern European) bellydance however as they evolve as dancers, so does their style – with influences from other dance forms such as American Tribal, Egyptian, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and Indian.  In 2008, Dance on the Edge was born:  an event that showcases their dance form and demonstrates all that it could be.  Each year, the show has grown bigger and with the assistance of a grant from the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council, they were able to provide their performers with an amazing venue, the historic LSPU Hall.  At Dance on the Edge VII, you will experience an international flavour with Highland, Flamenco, and Folk Dance added to the lineup of bellydancers from across the province.
