Stage Management Workshop with Sarah White

January 23

January 23 from 9:00am-6:00pm
Free Workshop

Come one, come all to the inaugural Hall Tech High! Free to those looking to find out more about the world of theatre behind the curtain or those that have already had a peek but want to know more. If you complete all the sessions, you will be placed on the Hall’s Casual Tech Call List.

This session is intended for new or burgeoning Stage Managers who have little to no experience working in professional theatre spaces, or for those looking to brush up on the basics! This 8-hour workshop has a large lecture component which will convey crucial information on how to be the best Stage Manager possible: theatre terminology, process, the roles and responsibilities of an SM, as well as proper documentation throughout the process and best practices of working as an SM.

Sarah White (she/her) is a theatre artist with over 15 years experience in the industry. The bulk of her work has been as a Stage Manager and Production Manager, while always taking on side gigs in Lighting Design and Stage Carpentry. Since relocating to St. John’s two years ago, she has rediscovered her inner technician and is currently the Acting Technical Director at the LSPU Hall.
