Synopsis: A Funeral Party is a tragi-comic two-hander, exploring the nuances of a relationship spanning decades, as they grapple with questions of ‘us’ vs. ‘me’. Joe and Miranda have invited their friends (the audience) to their funeral, only to reveal upon everyone’s arrival, that it is in fact their anniversary celebration. Through a series of wild games, re-enactments, and stories, the two share the challenges and beauty of their “100 year” relationship, while struggling with questions of how to spend the rest of their lives.
