You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown
December 10, 2015 - December 13, 2015
“You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown!”
Based on the Comic Strip “PEANUTS” by Charles M. Schulz
Book, Music and Lyrics by Clark Gesner
Originally Produced in New York by
Arthur Whitelaw and Gene Persson
Originally Directed in New York by Joseph Hardy
“You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown!” takes place in “an average day in the life of Charlie Brown.” From the bright uncertain morning to the hopeful starlit evening, this day is made up of little moments picked from all the days audiences love: from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season, from the “Doctor is In” to the love of the little Red-haired girl, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of Charlie Brown’s friends.
While none of our cast is actually six years old and they don’t really look like Charles Schulz’ “Peanuts” cartoon characters, this doesn’t seem to make much difference once we are into the play. Come enjoy the openness of early childhood with your favorite Peanut characters from the comics we all read and viewed as children. Let Mount Pearl Senior High’s talented actors and singers and the memorable tunes, Happiness Is…, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, My New Philosophy, return childhood joy into your hearts when “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” is brought to life before you on the LSPU Hall stage. See our Facebook page for more info.
