Urinetown: The Musical
May 29, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
“To pee or not to pee? That is the question.”
In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he’s had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!
Best Kind Productions is thrilled to present the TONY Award winning smash hit, Urinetown – a side-splitting send-up of greed, love, revolution (and musicals!), in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Featuring a cast of 18 brilliant actors and 18 brilliant musicians (The actors and musicians, by the way, are the same people), this “comedic romp” brings outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.
Starring Jeff Simms, Phil Goodridge, Kiersten Noel, John Williams, Emily Follett, Vicki Harnett, Brad Bonnell, Anita Ayling, Dan Lasby, Adrien Doucet, Amy Wilson, Kyle McDavid, Claire Rouleau, Mike Fardy, Terry Howlett, and Kristin Murphy, with Jack Etchegary and Matt Hardy.
