Sound Symposium XVIII

Sound Symposium is St. John’s festival of new music and the arts, an innovative sound environment filled with indoor and outdoor events.  Each noon hour, Harbour Symphonies — music for ships’ horns – will serenade the entire city. Nine days and nights of sound installations and concerts will feature new creations, multi-disciplinary works, world music, and world premieres of contemporary/new music by Canadian composers. Additional performances and workshops will be offered by many musicians and sound artists.  www.soundsymposium.com

20 Electric Guitars: Tim Brady, conductor; Three world premieres by Jason Noble: Steve Cowan, guitar; James Hurley, piano; Jason Noble, electronics; Kay Etchegary: songs of Lebanon; Turkwaz: songs of the Middle East, Turkey, Greece and the Balkans.


Pass Purchasing Pricing Breakdown – 

Gold Pass: $150/$120 – Admission to ALL Sound Symposium events

Silver Pass: $80/$60 – Includes 2 LSPU Hall concerts, 2 MUN concerts and 2 Night Musics

Bronze Pass: $40/$30 – Includes 1 LSPU Hall concert, 1 MUN concert and 1 Night Music

Passes must be purchased directly from Sound Symposium Central. Once you have purchased a pass please remember that you still need to physically book your ticket at the LSPU Hall, by either calling the box office or in person.

*Tickets for the Tombolo concert are sold separately at the Arts and Culture Centre Box Office and are not included in the symposium passes
