DNTO Live in St. John’s!
September 11, 2013 @ 7:30 pm
Join DNTO host Sook-Yin Lee and a terrific lineup of storytellers for an evening of laughs, sing-alongs and surprises at St. John’s historic LSPU Hall on Sept. 11. Some of the city’s finest raconteurs will share their favourite “It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time” stories – including Jody Richardson’s epic tale of The Greatest Rock n’ Roll Injury of All Time, and Sanchita Chakroborty’s unusually polite encounter with a masked robber. T.A. Loeffler tells us about the perils of mountainclimbing while sharing a pee bottle with three strangers, and Dave Sullivan reminisces about a teenage BMW test-drive that ended in a one way ticket out of the province.
Plus, songbird Katie Baggs and her band will get your toes tapping, and Alan Doyle drops in with his guitar and trademark wit.
Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 7:30 pm sharp.
**The show is sold out, but you can hear the show on CBC Radio (St. John’s 640 AM) on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 2-4pm NT.**
Every Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (2:00 NT), DNTO invites you to make discoveries about who we really are – flawed, funny, and beautiful – one story at a time. For more information and past episodes visit www.cbc.ca/dnto.
