NLAC Consultation Session on an Annual Operating Program for Professional Non-Profit Arts Organizations

The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council is seeking input from general managers and artistic directors on the creation of a single funding program that will offer annual funding to non-profit professional arts organizations.
The proposed program would amalgamate the Professional Festivals Program and the Organizations section of the Professional Project Grants Program into a program that serves non-profit professional arts organizations specifically.
For individuals in the St. John’s area, a meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 9:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the LSPU Hall, 3 Victoria Street.
For individuals based outside St. John’s, a meeting will take place via teleconference on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Details on the teleconference will be emailed to participants by September 29, 2014.
The meetings will offer individuals representing non-profit professional arts organizations an opportunity to learn about the NLAC’s vision for the program, and offer feedback on the program design and eligibility criteria.
Please note that only one representative from an organization can attend the meeting or teleconference. Interested individuals must confirm their attendance via email by September 26, 2014 to program manager Ken Murphy at kmurphy@nlac.ca.
