Looking for worthwhile dating advice? Look elsewhere! Bruce and Prudence, the most mismatched couple to ever meet through the personals, have dinner one evening at an upscale restaurant in New York. After alienating each other the two part ways, only to meet again when their therapists – the eccentric Charlotte and a misogynist named Stuart – suggest giving the personals another try. This time, the couple find they like each other and attempt a relationship, much to the chagrin of Bruce’s live-in lover Bob, who will do whatever it takes to maintain the status quo.
