NLFL and the St. John’s District Labour Council Present “Pride”

The NLFL and the St. John’s District Labour Council are hosting a screening of the movie “Pride” at 7:30pm on Thursday, July 20 at LSPU Hall. Admission is free.
Pride is based on a true story, depicting a group of queer activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners’ strike in 1984, at the outset of what would become the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign. The film is a great story about the power of pride and solidarity and the connection between workers’ rights and queer and trans rights.
