Under Wraps was originally produced in 1997, played three sold out runs in St. John’s, and played to great acclaim in Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver. Written by Robert Chafe and directed by Jillian Keiley with a musical score by Petrina Bromley, Under Wraps returns to the stage in May 2013 revamped and re-imagined with a brand new cast of 16. Under Wraps is a story of unrequited love, self-acceptance, and missed opportunities brought to life under a giant white parachute cloth, giving a new definition to hidden passion. A shape-shifting chorus acts as set, choir and the protagonist’s conscience, in this funny, vibrant and visually stunning show that the Vancouver Sun called “a note perfect piece of pure pleasure”
